Last evening at Besant Nagar Beach a.k.a “Bessie” was buzzing with the hungry in fact craving souls, who where getting drawn towards the pleasant smell of delicious desserts and pastries. One among that craving soul was me, once I and my friend stepped in to the venue were surprised to see a crowd which amazed us and also was wondering how we are going to get past this crowd. We were welcomed by a pleasing hostess who gave us a paper bag to buy the delicious pastries. There were so many stalls didn’t know where to start from, still managed to pick one.

That’s when we stumbled on to “Sugar Monkeys”, where the gorgeous Cindana was present  with the most delicious and rich “Messy Nutella chocolate cake”.  It was so rich with  chocolate the flavour lasted for quite sometime.

After which we headed towards a stall where a Mother and her kid daughter hosting a stall “Kookie Riot”, their “Fresh Figs Upside Down Cake” was a delight, they also had exotic tiny little “Red Velvet Cupcake” and to top that a delectable cup cake made of my favourite chocolate “Hersheys”WP_20150124_17_11_49_Pro

After which we encountered “Sugar Cube”,  honestly can’t remember the name of the cake  entirely but remember it, vaguely which goes like  this “Strawberry Naked Cake” which was entirely  different from the rest of the lot.

The “Bakers Nook” had a great surprise in the name of “Devil’s food  cupcakes with a rich chocolate fudge filling”, a bite of that was filled with  so much joy.

After stuffing ourselves with such joy, wanted a relief and that was given  by a stall who served “Grilled Fish“, I’m sorry forgot to make a note of  their name, but those were the most tender and tastiest fish I tasted in  recent times.

Saturday evening was tummy joy with the most finest bakers coming together in treating the Chennaities with exotic desserts and pastries. It was suppose to be a 3 hour event, but I believe it got over in an hour or so with everything being sold out, people who came late were left crumbs and left over icing.

KP Balakumar the man behind the event, did a great job in putting the best together, the only complaint everyone had was the place was too small to accommodate the over enthuse crowd. I’m sure next year would be great, bigger and more to titillate our taste buds.
